Horizon Launcher & Patcher

The Horizon IPL (Installer • Patcher • Launcher) is the recommended way to install and play UO Horizon.

It automatically downloads the required game files, keeps your installation up to date, and launches the game with the correct settings—allowing you to spend less time configuring and more time adventuring.

Getting started only takes a few minutes.

1. Download the Horizon IPL.
2. Run the installer.
3. Choose an installation folder (recommended: C:\Games\UO Horizon).
4. Allow the launcher to download the required files.
5. Click Play.

That's it!

The launcher will automatically keep Horizon up to date.

Each time you launch Horizon, the IPL checks for new updates.

If a patch is available, it will:

• Download changed files
• Install updates automatically
• Verify your installation
• Launch the newest version

No manual patching is required.

The Horizon IPL is designed to continue growing alongside the server.

Manual installation is intended primarily for troubleshooting or development.

If the launcher encounters a problem:

• Verify your internet connection.
• Ensure your antivirus has not blocked the launcher.
• Run the launcher as Administrator if necessary.
• Verify your installation folder has write permissions.
• Ask for assistance on Discord.

Most issues can be resolved quickly by reinstalling or repairing the installation.

Do I need to install patches manually?

No. The Horizon IPL automatically downloads and installs updates.

Can I have multiple Ultima Online installations?

Yes.

It is recommended to install Horizon into its own dedicated folder.

Example: C:\Games\UO Horizon

This prevents conflicts with other Ultima Online installations.

Do I need ClassicUO?

The Horizon IPL installs and launches the recommended client configuration automatically.

Advanced users may customize their installation if desired.
