Your journey begins on **Renika Island**, but before long you'll be battling bandits, exploring ancient crypts, and preparing to leave for the mainland. ---- ===== Step 1 — Arriving in Renika ===== Every new character begins their adventure in **Renika**, Horizon's starting island. Take a few moments to become familiar with your surroundings. Things to do first: * Open the **Help Menu** * Read the **Message of the Day** * Explore the starting village * Speak with the local NPCs * Open your backpack and paperdoll * Visit the bank Renika is designed to be a safe place to learn the basics before venturing into the wider world. ---- ===== Step 2 — Meet Wayfinder Daniel ===== Your first stop should be **Wayfinder Daniel**. Daniel introduces you to Horizon's major systems and helps you begin your adventure.
